FOOTLOCKER X NIKE (2019)

FOOTLOCKER TEAMS UP WITH NIKE FOR THEIR ANNUAL “HAVE A NIKE DAY” CAMPAIGN BY RELEASING A WHOLE NEW COLLECTION IN VARIOUS COLORWAYS BY MEANS OF SNEAKERS, CLOTHING AND MERCHANDISE. MCFLYY WAS HIRED AS AN INFLUENCER AND ARTIST TO FURTHER PROMOTE THE CAMPAIGN BY BEING COMMISSIONED TO PAINT A 36”X36” ONE OF ONE PAINTING AND FEATURING IN 3 SHORT COMMERCIALS.

As a follow-up of sorts to last year’s extensive “Just Do It” collection, the Swoosh is turning to another signature catchphrase for 2019 by way of its cheeky “Have A Nike Day” slogan. Anchored by time-tested Beaverton favorites the likes of the Air Max 1, the Air Max 95, the Air Max 97, and more, we also see efforts from the much newer Air Max 270 and the resurgent Air More Money. With an emphasis being placed on full-family participation, there will be releases in sizing for men as well as both big kids and little kids. With vintage-inspired color blocking serving as this capsule’s focal point, an array of hues are featured throughout, including Indigo Storm, Hyper Jade, Bleached Coral, and much, much more. One final element featured prominently throughout this entire series is a Nike swoosh smiley face logo that was both the hero of this Beaverton marketing campaign as well as part of Sean Wotherspoon’s iconic Air Max 1/97 hybrid from 2018.
